Udupi: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that Congress coming to power in the State is just a dream of their leaders.

Speaking at the Janasankalpa Yatra programme at Kaup in the District on Monday November 7, he criticized those who grabbed the Waqf land among the Congress party. The policy of divide and rule is that of Congress. He objected that the Congress party has no morals to show face to the people of Karnataka.

He said that it was the Congressmen who did the corruption in the hostel building, corruption in Anna Bhagya, BDA, land and irrigation projects. We had courage in the SC/ST reservation issue. However, he criticised that Congress did not have that spirit. A double-engine Government is working for the comprehensive development of Karnataka. Taking note of this, he appealed to the people to support the BJP Government.

Karnataka has committed to contribute $1 billion towards the vision of a $5 billion economy. Many industries will invest in the coast. He said that the contribution of the coast will be significant for the development of Karnataka.

Free electricity for farmers’ pump sets, 4 thousand additional money given under Kisan Samman scheme, implementation of Raitha Vidyanidhi scheme, Vidyanidhi is also given to the children of fishermen, he said.

We are working hard to alleviate the suffering of people. 5000 houses will be built and given to fishermen. He said that we are committed to providing extra kerosene to the fishermen. He said that they are going to distribute kuchchalakki through rationing.

Additional funds have been given for the development of 8 fishermen harbours in this part of the region. The work will be done soon. We have sanctioned 100 high-speed boats. He explained that the sanction will be received this year and a 40 per cent subsidy will also be available.

Belonging to a Backward Class, Prime Minister Narendra Modiji had given good governance for 12 years as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. He led the country efficiently as the Prime Minister. He said that under his leadership, the country has progressed on the path of economic development.

Many development works will be done through Sagar Mala projects. The demand for change in the CRZ rules has been allowed. This was the demand for 3 decades. He said that this will give speed to the coastal economy.

Modiji has given visionary programmes in all sectors including national highways and railways. BJP is responsible for the electrification of the Konkan Railway. He explained that work has been done to connect the ports to the main cities through Gati Shakti Yojana. Every 2 months its progress is reviewed by the Prime Minister himself.

Social justice was the talk of the Congress party. Ahinda is no longer left. He said that the Backward Class people have lost faith in the Congress party. However, he explained that Modiji has taken socially revolutionary decisions.

Former Chief Minister and Member of the Central Parliamentary Board B. S. Yediyurappa said that Narendra Modiji has not rested for a single day in the 8 years since he became the Prime Minister. Admired by the whole world, Modiji is leading the chariot of this country. He requested the BJP workers to work hard to win the State and National elections.

The illusion of Congress victory will be false. BJP will get power again. He spoke with confidence that BJP will win more than 140 constituencies and bring honour to Modiji. He said that three to four lakh people will attend Modiji’s visit on the 11th.

It is my honest opinion that Rahul Gandhi is a boy in front of Narendra Modi. Kollegala election result is an example of Congress’s defeat wherever Rahul goes. He appreciated that the people of Mangalore-Udupi are disciplined people and have been supporting the BJP for a long time. He expressed happiness that there will be an investment of 10 lakh Crore in the State. He gave details about the implementation of various projects for the development of the coastal area. He requested people to support BJP.
