Udupi: Life threat complaint registered at Manipal Police Station

Udupi: A complaint has been lodged at Manipal Police Station alleging harassment and threat to life by shopkeepers and neighbours in Vidyaratna Nagara.

It was learnt that Apeksha, who owns a shop next to her house, and her husband Nitesh Nayak were selling cigarettes to students and the general public and causing trouble in the area.This led to a dispute between Nitesh Nayak couple and Ananthakrishna on the evening of Monday December 26. It is alleged that the couple entered the courtyard of the house illegally, abused and threatened to kill the opposite party

Anuradha has lodged a complaint alleging that her father-in-law Ananthakrishna was beaten up.

It is alleged that Ananthakrishna was harassing girls in the shop and when he was questioned, he verbally abused Apeksha. Apeksha has further alleged that daughter-in-law Anuradha has threatened to kill her in a counter-complaint lodged.
