Udupi: Police officers arrested a man on charges of assaulting police officers on Sunday July 3 in Gulvadi.
The arrested accused has been identified as Abdul Ravoof. Another accused Nizam is still absconding.
According to sources, Koppa SI Srinath Reddy, ASI Ganga Shetty, and officers Prashant and Amit Chowgule went to Kundapur to question an accused named Danish. Iqbal, Danish’s father, informed them that his son had driven to Koteshwar when they arrived at his home.
When police were on their way to Koteshwar suspects Nizam and Ravoof stopped their car and started verbally abusing the officers.
Following this Ravoof was arrested and Nizam fled the scene.
