Hubballi: A retired couple residing in Keshwapur in Hubballi fell victim to a fraudulent investment scheme and have been swindled out of Rs 2.39 crore. The incident has prompted the registration of a case at the CEN Crime Police Station.
The couple was lured into investing by Divya and Deepak who promised lucrative returns through online investments, initially starting with an investment of Rs 15,000. Subsequently, between May 1 and June 12, they were convinced to invest a total sum of Rs 2.39 crores through two bank accounts.
Upon investigation into their daughter’s accounts, it was discovered that they had indeed become victims of fraud. Subsequently, a formal complaint has been filed at the CEN Crime Police Station leading to the registration of a case in connection with this incident.
