Bidar: 17 countries' representatives visit Mahila Kisan Millet Association

Bidar: Representatives from 17 countries on Wednesday February 22, visited the Mahila Kisan Millet Producers’ Association here and took stock of the production, processing and sale.

The organisation was recently mentioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Mann Ki Baat programme.

This is the first time that a foreign team has come here on a study tour.

The team included representatives from various countries including Africa, Nigeria, Sudan, Bangladesh, Uganda and Zambia.

On this occasion, , President of the Institute Ambika Metre, Agriculture Officer Manisha, Sangappa B.C. and others gave information about the production of millets and the organisation.

The team members were later felicitated.

Guru Basaveshwara Samsthana Matha Seer Shivananda Swamiji, Former Zilla Panchayat President Anil Bhusare, Former Vice-President Latha Harakoode, Mallappa Dhabale, Shivaji More, progressive farmers and dignitaries were present.
