Bidar: As the saying goes, elections are the biggest festival of the democracy, where the essence of constitution comes to life, inviting every individual to take part equally in the democratic process. In India, perhaps you will find no one not having interest in politics and election.

An emotional example of this vibrant democracy unfolds in Bidar, where the spirit of participation knows no bounds. Here, a visually impaired individual has stepped forward, defying odds and barriers, to file a nomination as an independent candidate with an intention to represent people of Bidar Lok Sabha constituency.

Dileep Nagappa Bhusa, a resident of Kadwad village in the taluk, is the candidate who arrived at the Deputy Commissioner’s office with a few of his supporters and filed the nomination.

Dileep read the oath, which is in Braille language, and submitted his nomination to District Election Officer Govind Reddy. Vinay Rajendra of the Universe Citizen Party also filed the nomination. On the first day, two candidates filed nominations.
