Bidar: Bhalki police arrested an undertrial prisoner from Udgir after he was admitted to a hospital for medical treatment. This arrest is connected to an attempted murder case under the jurisdiction of the Bhalki rural police station.
The prisoner, Datta Umakant Biradar of Kasaratungawadi, exploited a hospital visit for health reasons to make an escape on Saturday while claiming he needed to use the restroom.
Following persistent efforts, a specialized team from the DSB unit, in collaboration with Police Inspector Vijayakumar, PSI Sudarshan Reddy, and staff members Shivaraja and Beerappa, successfully captured him in Udgir, Maharashtra.
