Koppal: 390 grams of opium poppy powder was found in a dhaba near Vanageri Toll Plaza on the Kushtagi-Ilkkal four-lane National higyhway in Kushtagi Taluk of the District.
The illegality was unearthed at Mahadev Dhaba of Rajasthan adjacent to the Highway in Bodur Tanda.
Drugs were being sold in this dhaba as a special tea. Consumers who consumed it used to take drink the tea in order to drive without sleep or fatigue. The Excise Department of Kushtagi recently conducted a raid and took into custody the owner of Mahadeva Dhaba.
