Koppal: MLA Amaregowda Patil Bayyapura said that the people of the State do not depend on regional parties as much as they depend on regional parties in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
Addressing a press conference at Tavaragera Tourist Bungalow here, he said that there is a possibility that the regional party will be the result of national parties depending on the local climate, and as a local capable candidate.
At present, the JD (S) has lost its dominance in North Karnataka and retained its dominance in some parts of South Karnataka.
Janardhana Reddy’s Karnataka Rajya Pragati Paksha regional party is likely to have an impact of 5 to10 per cent, if not very much, on the BJP and the Congress, he said.
