Koppal: In a shocking incident, a man named Mallappa Kadiwalar (30) allegedly murdered his elder brother at Pattalachinti Village in Kushtagi Taluk on the evening of Thursday February 2 for allegedly distributing property after marriage.
The deceased has been identified as Yamanurappa Basappa Kadivalar (35). The accused who came to Yamanoorappa on the pretext of a job and got into a fight with his brother. He was brutally beaten with wood in the bathroom and stabbed to death with a knife. He then sat at the spot where the murder took place and surrendered to the police.
Basappa Kadivalar of Pattanachinti Village had four sons and 16 acres of land. Sharanappa, Nagappa, Yamanoorappa and Mallappa. Except Mallappa others were married and lived separately.
The accused Mallappa was the only one who lived with his second brother Nagappa. He kept urging to give the property share with Yamanurappa, to which Yamanurappa insisted Mallappa to get married so that property can be shared. In the wake of this development, Mallappa, who was mentally depressed, stabbed his third brother Yamanurappa to death with a knife.
