Yadgir: Permission mandatory to print pamphlets, posters

Yadgir: In view of the implementation of the model Code of Conduct, Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Snehal R. Shailaja has informed that permission should be obtained before printing pamphlets, posters and banners of political parties and candidates and the rules of the model Code of Conduct should be strictly followed. She stated this in a statement.

“No pamphlets, posters and banners will be allowed to be printed which is spreading misinformation, misinformation or creating communal riots,” she noted. Money has already been allocated for the printing of each page. The name of the printer, the name of the publisher, the mobile number and the number of the printed copies should be mentioned in front of the pamphlet, board, poster, banner, she added.

Nothing should be printed that hurts the sentiments of people of any caste or religion. Violation of any of the provisions can attract a jail term and a fine. As per the Election Commission guidelines, violating the rules by not printing banners, flexes and pamphlets will be punished under the Representation of the People Act. Printing of posters, pamphlets and banners like election boycott would be a violation of the Act, the DC expressed.
