In a disturbing incident in Madikeri, a young man named Suhail (27) sustained serious injuries after hot water was thrown on him by the family members of his beloved. Suhail, a resident of Ganapati Street in Madenadu village, Madikeri taluk, was involved in a romantic relationship with Zeenat Mbakeyan from the same village.
According to reports, Zeenat contacted Suhail, informing him of the violence she was facing at home and expressing her inability to remain there. When Zeenat’s father arrived at her house to fetch her, a confrontation ensued between him and Suhail, resulting in the latter being scalded with hot water, leaving him disfigured.
Suhail, who sustained severe injuries, was rushed to Koims Hospital for treatment. The Madikeri Rural Police Station has registered a case in connection with the incident as investigations continue.
