Chikkamagaluru: Tension prevailed as Congress workers tried to stage a protest in front of BJP leader C. T. Ravi’s residence alleging that he insulted Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah by calling him “Sidramullah Khan”.

BJP workers stopped Congress workers who were on their way to lay siege to C.T. Ravi’s residence, leading to a clash. A video of a Congress worker being allegedly assaulted by a BJP leader has gone viral on social media. The Police has tried their best to control the protesters.

Ravi had called Siddaramaiah ‘Sidramullah Khan’ at Jana Sankalpa Yatra rally in Koppa town, recently. Condemning the remarks, the activists took out a procession from the Taluk Office in the City on Saturday December 3 and shouted slogans against Ravi.
