Chikkamagaluru: In the wake of the arrest of Bigg Boss contestant Varthur Santhosh, who was detained for wearing tiger claws, a wave of concern has swept through the state’s VIPs who sported similar accessories. Not only celebrities but also politicians, businessmen, and government officials find themselves under scrutiny for their tiger claw pendants. The latest target is DRFO Darshan, against whom a complaint was filed for wearing a tiger nail pendant.

Responding to this complaint, Koppa DFO Nandish has taken decisive action, issuing an order to suspend Deputy Zonal Forest Officer Darshan. Darshan’s suspension comes in light of his failure to cooperate with the investigation.

The controversy surrounds Kalasa sub-zone forest officer Darshan, who has been accused of wearing a tiger claw pendant. The allegations led to a formal complaint by Supreet and Abdul of Arenur village, who approached Aldur Zonal Forest Officer in Chikkamagaluru district, urging legal action under the Wildlife Protection Act.

The incident has raised questions and sparked debates about the significance and legality of wearing tiger claw pendants, making it a matter of considerable public interest in the region.
