Hassan: The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Bengaluru Bench has withheld the state government’s order to transfer Hassan Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri, who has earned fame with her work in the district.
The state government had tried to transfer Rohini Sindhuri, before the Shravanabelagola Mahamasthakabhisheka, on the recommendation of District In-Charge Minister A Manju. Subsequently however, the Central Election Commission withheld the transfer twice, as state government cannot transfer officials during the electoral process.
Meanwhile, Rohini Sindhuri questioned the transfer before the end of her term in the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT). For the time being, CAT has withheld the transfer till March 13 which is a huge embarrassment for the state government. She will continue as the DC until March 13.
The state government has assured of further action before March 12.
