Hassan: The 14-day Hasanambe festival, dedicated to the Goddess of Power, concluded this year. Commencing on November 2, the festival formally came to a close today (November 15) with the closure of the sanctum sanctorum doors at the Hasanambe temple. District in-charge minister K N Rajanna, deputy commissioner, and other officials were present for the event.
Following the removal of decorations for Hasanambe, priest Nagaraj conducted a puja and securely locked the door of the sanctum sanctorum. The Hasanambe temple is set to reopen next year. The Hasanambe Darshan festival is anticipated to take place from October 24 to November 3, 2024.
Over the past 12 days, the goddess has been witnessed by over 13 lakh devotees, contributing to a collection of Rs 5.80 crore in revenue. This marked the first instance of devotees flocking to the temple to witness the goddess. On Tuesday, the final day of public darshan, numerous MLAs, former ministers, and officials sought the goddess’s blessings.
