Hassan: JD (S) Leader H. D. Kumaraswamy has chalked out a master plan to resolve the confusion over the JD (S) ticket from Hassan.
Kumaraswamy has convened a meeting of prominent party workers and leaders of Hassan constituency in Bengaluru to seek their views on ticket distribution. The meeting will be attended by Former Zilla Panchayat Members, Former Members of the Taluk Panchayat and prominent people from the Gram Panchayat limits.
It is learnt that around 300 prominent people are expected to attend the meeting, who have been invited over the phone from HDK’s office and are key functionaries of Hassan.
JD (S ) ticket distribution issue in Hassan is yet to be resolved. Day by day, the problem of who should be given a ticket is increasing. While Former Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy has argued that H. P. Swaroop should be given a ticket from Hassan Constituency instead of giving ticket to Gowda’s family members, H. D. Revanna’s family is demanding that Gowda’s family members should contest the polls to defeat MLA Preetham Gowda.
Former Minister H. D. Revanna campaigned in Hassan on Saturday February 25 amid the confusion over the distribution of JD (S) ticket from Hassan constituency. H. D. Revanna, who has already accepted the challenge putfoeth by MLA Preetham Gowda, will continue his campaign in rural areas of Hassan District.
H. D. Revanna and his family, who have started campaigning despite the Opposition from Kumaraswamy, have devised a strategy to clear the confusion created by Swaroop’s lightning movement and have planned to send a message to the people that Revanna’s family will be contesting the elections this time. As a part of this, Revanna, who has been reaching out to the people of rural areas, has started campaigning extensively since Friday February 24. So it seems that he is determined to get a ticket from Hassan this time.
A meeting of leaders will be held in Bengaluru after the ongoing Pancharatna Yatra in Chikkamagaluru where the candidate will be able to get their opinion on who will win the elections.
After that, Kumaraswamy will take a decision on who should be given the Hassan ticket after taking everyone’s opinion. On the other hand, Kumaraswamy, who has conducted a confidential survey of Hassan Constituency and obtained a report, will decide on the ticket after taking into account the contents of the report and the views of prominent leaders at the meeting.
