Hassan: Improper distribution of ration rice, villagers protest

Hassan: There are around 600 ration cards in Vedavathi fair price shop at Hunse Village in the Taluk and the distribution of ration is not being maintained properly.

Since last few days, people at the Vedavathi fair price shop have been cheated as far as weight is concerned and are getting Rs. 6,000 for 600 ration cards from the poor and not taking their thumb impression at the right time, thus are harassing the public, and labourers.

The villagers in the vicinity have demanded that if the food inspector does not take immediate action, they will launch a fierce agitation in the next few days. The leaders of the organisation have warned that the authorities should visit the spot at the earliest and avoid inconvenience to the customers.
