Hassan: Arakalagudu MLA A. T. Ramaswamy quits JD (S) to join BJP. Ramaswamy joined the BJP under the leadership of Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur at the BJP office in New Delhi.
BJP National President J. P. Nadda greeted him with a party shawl.
Speaking on the occasion, A.T. Ramaswamy said, “I am very happy to be joining the BJP. I will work under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai,” he said.
Earlier, Ramaswamy had met Assembly Secretary M. K. Vishalakshi met and submitted his resignation letter. Ramaswamy, who has been away from the activities of the JD (S), has now decided to quit the party and has resigned from the party.
