M’luru-B’luru bus with over 30 passengers engulfed in flames near Hassan

Hassan: A Bengaluru-bound private bus with over 30 passengers went up in flames a little past midnight on Tuesday November 21 at Kanchatahalli village on National Highway 75 near Hassan.

Fortunately the passengers of the sleeper coach, that had started its journey from Mangaluru escaped without injuries due to the alertness of the driver. The bus however was completey charred in the incident.

It is gathered that the driver who was the first to notice the flames, halted the bus and immediately evacuated all the passengers on the bus.

The Hassan Rural Police visited the spot. The cause for the fire is being attributed to mechanical error, stated the police.

Alternate bus arrangements were made for the passengers, it is gathered.
