Shivamogga: Commenting on the meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Former Prime Minister JD (S) Supremo H. D. Devegowda, Former Chief Minister And Opposition Leader Siddaramaiah said that this reflects that JD (S) is extending its support to BJP.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Saturday December 3 he said that however, in some constituencies local leaders are in support of Congress. Replying to the statement of Minister of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj K. S. Eshwarappa regarding change of Chief Minister, he said Eshwarappa has no confidence on his own Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, hence he has uttered the truth. In the backdrop of this statement, he must resign, Siddu demanded.

Further, speaking about the issue of Home Minister Araga Jnanendra criticising the police officers, Siddaramaiah said that if he is not able to manage the minister should resign. The corruption has reached its crescendo in his department. It is high time he resigns, he reiterated.

He said that State has recieved rainfall three to four times higher than last few years. This has led to destruction of crops in up to six lakh hectares. However, the State Government hasn’t taken any measures to alleviate farmers’ problems as well as extend help in the form of funds, he noted.

The travellers from foreign countries have been found missing since the detection of first few Omicron cases. It shows the corruption that exists in the airport, he stressed.
