Shivamogga: Bisons were spotted at Kallukoppa under Ullur Gram Panchayat limits in Sagar Taluk of the District. Herds of bison were present.
The spotting in Kallukoppa village has caused the villagers to panic. The sudden appearance of 16 bison has infact increased the panic among villagers. The villagers are crying that crops are being destroyed.
But the Forest Department has assured the villagers by saying that there are less bison in the area. There have been instances where bisons have attacked several times even though they are not as dangerous as leopards and tigers. They also destroy crops.
