Shivamogga: Former Minister K. S. Eshwarappa alleged that some traitors talk about Tipu Sultan with the intention that Kempegowda’s ideals should not be followed by the people.
Speaking to mediapersons here, he said that Tanveer Sait is going to build a statue of Tipu Sultan in Mysuru so that the ideals of true patriots does not reach the people Kempegowda is a role model for the entire country, while Tipu Sultan is known as a traitor. Kempegowda was a very good administrator. He is not limited to Karnataka alone. He had provided common amenities to the citizens such as tank bunds, parks, construction of roads, drinking water etc. Kempegowda was the stalwart of governance who protected the environment, he said.
He added, “It is a great honour that the statue Kempegowda, an able administrator has been inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
