Mangaluru: A case involving the alleged deception of a young woman in Puttur has come to light, drawing attention across political and social circles.
Addressing the issue in Mangaluru, former KPCC General Secretary Padmaraj R. Poojary expressed his concern over the incident. He emphasized that turning this sensitive matter into a political debate is inappropriate and unhelpful.
“This is a serious issue that concerns an individual’s safety and dignity. It is not something to be politicized,” Poojary stated during a press interaction.
He assured the public that the Congress party is committed to standing with the affected woman and her family. He further added that the party will extend all possible assistance to ensure justice is served.
“We will not allow this to become a tool for political advantage. Our focus is on ensuring support and proper action,” Poojary affirmed.
The Congress leader also appealed to all parties and public figures to approach the matter with sensitivity, and not use it to score political points.
As the investigation unfolds, the victim’s family is receiving growing support from civil society and various groups seeking justice.
