Imd Issues Red Alert For Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, And Uttara Kannada

Mangaluru: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for the districts of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada from June 22 to 23. Additionally, an orange alert for heavy rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds has been issued for these three coastal districts on June 21 and 22. The IMD has warned fishermen not to venture into the sea till June 23 due to squally weather with wind speeds ranging from 35 kmph to 45 kmph, gusting up to 55 kmph, expected to prevail along and off the Karnataka coast.

Meanwhile, Molahalli and Haladi in Kundapur taluk, Udupi district, received the highest rainfall in the state, recording 72mm and 61mm respectively.
