Mysuru: Days after the murder of a young woman in the Piriyapatna police station’s jurisdiction, another brutal murder was reported near the KR Pet taluk on Wednesday.
The body of the young woman was discovered at the main gate of Trishul Hydropower, near Hemagiri. The dismembered body was found on Wednesday. Her organs were found in the Trishul water plant built across the Hemavathi river.
Police suspect that the culprits murdered the young woman and then drove in a vehicle to dispose of the body.
The head and the rest of the body were taken to the KR Pet Hospital for post-mortem examination. Police are now trying to find the young woman’s relatives.
Hoskote MLA Sharath Bachegowda, DYSP Navin Kumar, Circle Inspector K N Sudhakar, Sub Inspector Suresh, and the staff of KR Pet Rural Police Station inspected the scene.
