Chamarajanagara: The Police Department suspended four police personnel on charges of dereliction of duty and indiscipline.
The suspended are identified as Assistant Sub-Inspectors Madhukar and Nagaraju as well as constables Gopal and Para Shivamurthy. It is said that the suspended officials changed the name of the driver in an accident case despite the injured had given the right name.
The injured’s father Dr. Amble Lingaraju complained to the Superintendent of Police about the same.
SP T. P. Shiva Kumar said that during the enquiry the four officials prima facie were found guilty of dereliction of duty, irresponsibility and indiscipline. All four have been suspended and a departmental enquiry was ordered.
