Chamrajnagar: Chamrajnagar town in Chamrajnagar District is considered as a jinxed place. Except for Siddaramaiah, no Chief Minister dared to visit this town when in power. Even rationalist and socialist leader Former CM J. H. Patel didn’t visit the town even to inaugurate the new district back in 1997 fearing losing the power.
However, CM Basavaraj Bommai has decided to break the belief. He will visit the town on Thursday October 7 and accompany President of India Ram Nath Kovind who will attend several events including the inauguration of 450-bed-capacity government hospital. This hospital is attached to the Chamrajnagar Institute of Medical Sciences.
District In-Charge Minister S. T. Somashekar confirmed that CM is visiting the Chamrajnagar town. “He will accompany the president on October 7,” he said.
On October 7, CM will have a hectic schedule. He will attend Dasara inaugural ceremony in Mysuru in the morning. Later he will travel to Chamrajnagar which is one and half hours journey from Mysuru. Later he will participate in various events with the President.
