Mysuru: A part of the road on Chamundi Hill stretch collapsed on Wednesday October 20 following heavy rains.
According to the sources, the road leading towards Nandi idol atop the hill has collapsed sideways, near the illuminated Welcome Board erected for Dasara. Since it is Dasara season, the collapse has inconvenienced and will inconvenience scores of tourists visiting the hill.
District In-Charge Minister S. T. Somashekar has instructed Deputy Commissioner to take up the repair work immediately to avoid any further inconvenience.
