Madikeri: In a bizarre yet tragic incident, a teenager ended life owing to intense hairfall that started off after a hair styling session. Her dead body was recovered from Lakshmantheertha in Kodagu.
Neha Gangamma, an 18-year-old student from Mysuru had slipped into depression due to heavy hairfall that started off after a hair styling session at a parlour in VV Mohalla.
She had spoken to her parents about her condition and had said that she had taken leave and would be returning to Kodagu. However, she did not reach home and worried parents lodged a complaint with Jayalakshmipuram (Mysuru) police.
After the body was found, the remains were taken for postmortem. A case has been registered in Ponnampet police station
