Madikeri: Plantation Expo- 2016 will be jointly organised by the Agricultural Science Forum and Kutta Kodava Samaj at the latter’s premises on November 15.
Disclosing this at a press meet, Agricultural Science Forum President N M Poonachha said experts and scientists from Agricultural Research Centre Balehonnur, Chettalli Spices Board and Horticulture Institute’s Agricultural Science Centre, Gonikoppa and Forest College, Ponnampet will take part in the one-day expo.
Progressive farmer and Black Gold League Founder Kenjige Keshava from Mudigere will share his experience in the field of agriculture, Poonachha said.
Agricultural scientists from Chettalli farm will throw light on fruit bearing plant cultivation and educate the participants about growing foreign fruits in local conditions. They will also enlighten on bee farming, bee life cycle and their effect in coffee plantations, he said.
In addition, leading fertiliser manufacturing company executives will hold an interaction with the participants, Poonachha added.
There will be a special exhibition on Agriculture at the venue and the Forum president requested farmers from the district to come in large numbers to avail the expo benefits and ensure its success.
