Mandya: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has favoured the development of religious corridors in the State, just like how Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives are reviving religious places in the Country. Endowment Department officials have been instructed to submit a report on the opportunities available in the State in this regard said Endowment Minister Shashikala Jolle.

She was speaking after inaugurating the four-day historic Mahakumbh Mela at Triveni Sangama of Ambigarahalli- Sangapura-Pura Villages in K. R. Pete in the District. South India’s Mahakumbh Mela is being organised in a grand manner at K. R. Pete. It is very special that such an event is being organised at the holy place where Male Mahadeshwara had touched his feet when he came from Srisailam. Through such programmes led by the revered people our original religious culture is being instilled in the minds of the people. “The Chief Minister and our Government are also thinking about preserving and nurturing the culture and will take up a number of programmes,” she said.
