Mandya: The Janata Dal (S) Supremo and former prime minister H D Deve Gowda announced Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy’s son Nikhil Kumaraswamy as the candidate from Mandya Constituency, officially, here on Thursday, March 14.
Transport Minister D C Thammanna said, “Deve Gowda was waiting for an auspicious time to announce the candidature.”
Former MLAs Dr. Annadani, Narayana Gowda, Srinivas and MLC Srikante Gowda lifted Nikhil Kumaraswamy’s hands at a party stage programme, as D C Thammanna announced his name at 12 noon.
