Mysuru: Kodagu – Mysuru MP Pratap Simha on Monday January 17 urged the State Government not to push people in to distress by impoing lockdown and curfew.

Speaking to mediapersons he said that people are facing lot of hardships since last two years owing to lockdown and Corona. If Government imposes stricter norms to tackle Corona it would again push lakhs of people into trouble by making them jobless. He urged to upgrade facilitiy in hospitals instead imposing curbs as mortality rate has been less in third wave.

Reacting sharply to the objection of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike State Unit President T. A. Narayana Gowda for  releasing money to Sanskrit University, he said Sanskrit is in the name of Narayana. So will he change his name? Sanskrit is the oldest language and mother of all the languages. Even Dr. B. R. Ambedkar submitted a proposal to make Sanskrit as national language. He said erstwhile Prime Minister Indira Gandhi too enforced trilingual formula.  He questioned why Narayana Gowda was silent when the erstwhile government had announced  establishing of Tipu Sultan University. He said they are just opposing Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the sake of publicity.
