Mysore Fashion Week, Season 2: The Royal Run Way begins

Mysuru: Mysore Fashion Week, Season 2 #TheRoyalRunway Press Meet Launch at Country Inn & Suites, Mysore got off to a great glittering start with MFW founder Jayanthi Ballal welcoming the august gathering of media, designers, celebrities, models and guests to the 2nd edition of Mysore Fashion Week 2015.

Thanking everyone for the collective effort in contributing to put Mysore firmly on the fashion radar of the country, Jayanthi Ballal introduced her team of designers who had flown down from all over the country, including designer Mona Shroff from Hong Kong, adding an international flavour to the high voltage event that will unfold in Mysore from Sept 4-6.

Speaking on the occasion Talent Partner 6Degree – a global talent platform for fashion professionals led by Nikhil Hegde and Amit Bhardwaj said, “We are proud and honoured to be the Talent Partner for Mysore Fashion Week to help catalyse the vision of Jayanthi Ballal, the founder of Mysore Fashion Week. 6Degree has brought to Mysore, designers from across India, to showcase their very best on #TheRoyalRunway.

Introducing Prabha, Head of South India Dreamzone School of Creative Studies, MFW Educational Partner – a creative skill developing institute, Ballal elaborated on her Gen Next effort to promote the young talented students, and said that believes that as MFW grows from strength to strength a give back effort to encourage young designers was also felt as the need of the hour. Young students will present their collection in contemporary, fusion and bridal over the next 3 days at the Mysore Fashion Week.

Also present on the occasion was General Manager, Country Inn & Suites Pankaj Saxena who earlier welcomed the august gathering to Country Inn & Suites, Mysuru, Title Sponsor of Mysore Fashion Week Kunal Jain of C Krishniah Chetty & Sons who expressed pleasure in his brand association for the second year, along with Talent Partner and Co-Founder 6Degree Nikhil Hegde, choreographers Snehal Igoor, Celebrity Lead Choreographer Achala Sachdev and M S Sreedhar.

Sucheta Sharma from Mumbai expressed her excitement with NewsKarnataka of being a part of the event for the first time. “This is the first time I am coming to the beautiful city of Mysuru and I’m eager to walk on the ramp with the collections of different designers”.

“Jewellery collections are so beautiful and season two will be a hit” she said.

One more top Model from Mumbai Alesia Raut expressed that Mysore Fashion Week is one of the promising events, where the collections of all participating designer’s will be showcased. The team is also working hard to make the event a hit, she said.

Dayana Ponachha, Model, who was working with Jayanthi Ballal previously and is presently based in Mumbai said she is happy for being a part of the Mysore Fashion Week for the second time.

The event season two is choreographed by famous Choreographer Achala Sachdev and Sridhar and Snehal Igoor.

All designers who are taking part in the event are all looking forward to season two to showcase their collections. Every designer is coming up with different concepts and designs in their collection.

The founder Jayanthi Ballal welcomed every designer and thanked them for taking part in the event – Mysore Fashion Week season 2.

The students of Dream Zone have come for this season to set the ramp on fire. Students will be presentling garments with vibrant colors and perceptions with the theme of Bridal, Royal and Contemporary.

MFW 2 team has taken initiative and put in effort to host the event to bring buzz with this season too.

The event has Showstoppers from Bollywood Soha Ali Khan, Vidyut Jamwal, from Sandalwood Paru Yadav, Sanjana Galrani and Karthik Jayram.

Mysore Fashion Week is going to start as per scheduled and the top Models like Candice Pinto, Alesia Raut, Deepti Gujaral, Archana Akhil Kumar, Meenakshi, Parulduggal, Surjeet Kaur, Pooja Bhramaram, Pallavi, Dayana, Mitali, Sucheta Sharma and Jackie are already busy in rehearsal for the season.
