Mysuru: Opposition leader Siddaramaiah on Friday October 28 said that the BJP Government has discontinued all major schemes and pro-people welfare programmes implemented by the Congress.

He was speaking after inaugurating the Huliyuramma Temple in Tirumalapura, Mandya Taluk. He said that he did not give in to pressure or betray the needy or the poor while serving as the Chief Minister.

He claimed that he has fulfilled all of the promises made in the Congress manifesto and has also initiated 30 more welfare initiatives for all sections of society. He alleged that scholarships haven’t been given out to students for the past two years.

What moral right do they have to speak for SC/STs? Do you want such a government to remain in power? he asked. Siddaramaiah asserted that if Congress wins in 2023, it would carry out pro-people programmes and move toward opening the MySugar factory in Mandya.
