Mysuru: Chamundeshwari Assembly Constituency Election Observer Dilraj Singh has instructed officials to ensure that the election expenses are not violated and the election expenses should be maintained in a systematic manner so that the model Code of Conduct is not violated.

In a meeting chaired by Constituency Returning Officer Kamalabai and Joint Returning Officer B. N. Girish, observers briefed about the poll process and expenditure management.

There are a total of 14 candidates in Chamundeshwari constituency and you need to know about the cost of the candidates’ pamphlets. He said that the three registers given to the candidates should be maintained systematically.

This time, postal voting has been allowed and voters above the age of 80 years will be allowed to vote from home. Therefore, if parties or candidates bring ordinary voters to the polling booth in a vehicle, that vehicle should be impounded,” he said.

Election officials, booth-level officials and officials of various departments were present in the meeting.
