Mysuru: Krishnaraja Constituency MLA S. A. Ramadas held a special event to honour the ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activist) workers under the theme ‘Central, State and ASHA Sisters’ here on Sunday March 13.
Speaking on the occasion, Ramadas said, “Everyone knows the important role the ASHA workers played during the Covid – 19 pandemic. This time, the budgets of Central and State Government’s have brought out special plans for the health sector. We have devised several health-related projects in Krishnaraja Constituency. Motherhood, nutrition, holistic health and so on. We have the responsibility of making zero IMR and zero MMR within an year in our constituency. This year’s budget opens an
opportunity for our clinic.”
He further added, “The State is contemplating to open a women’s wellness centre with the help of the Central Government. Kidney problems are rising nowadays. Hence, we shall establish a Dialysis Centre under the PPP model in Krishnaraja constituency soon.”
ASHA workers were honoured with sarees and ‘tambulas’ in recognition of their work and encourage them for future works.
