Mysuru: The CCB Police of the City seized more than 46 kg of ganja worth Rs. 23 lakh in 2 separate cases on Tuesday October 25. The four accused have been arrested in 2 cases and laid a trap to nab the accused who are absconding after the incident.
Recently several Ganja and MDMA drug sales networks have been raided and 2 separate cases have been registered at Narasimharaja Police Station.
Mysore CCB Police’s anti-ganja unit continued its operation successfully curbing Ganja sales in many areas. On Saturday October 22, CCB police arrested three accused who were illegally keeping ganja inside the car and selling it on the Hanumantanagara Road in Bannimantapa on Saturday. It is said that the accused used the car as a mobile shop to sell Ganja. They were calling customers to the car and allegedly selling it.
Police recovered 5.69 kgs of Ganja, a Maruti 800 car, Rs. 10,000 in cash and 3 mobile phones. A case was registered at Narasimharaja Police Station.
In a second case, acting on a tip-off on Sunday October 23, Narasimharaja Police raided a house near Mandi Mohalla Eidgah Maidan and arrested a person and recovered 41 kgs of Ganja. A case has been registered at Narasimharaja Police Station and the investigation is on.
In connection with two separate cases, the Mysore CCB Police have laid a trap to find out from where and from whom the accused are buying the ganja and the other accused who are absconding.
