Mysuru: A wall of a house collapsed due to heavy rains with storm on the night of Friday October 14 and the family members escaped unhurt.
A house belonging to Mahadevamma of Sriramapura Layout in Nanjanagudu collapsed due to the continuous torrential rains in the Taluk. The family members who were sleeping inside the house escaped unhurt in the nick of time.
The outerwall of the house has collapsed completely. If it had collapsed inward, we would not have survived. We were fortunate, the survivors averred.
Electronic equipment and food grains in the house are damaged. Mahadevamma demanded suitable compensation as they have lost everything.
