Mysuru: An aided institution teacher died in a road mishap when his bike collided against a car near Bannikuppe on the Mysuru-Mangaluru state highway on new year’s day.
Mahesh (35), a resident of Kottegala and an assistant teacher at Sri Venugopal Educational Institution is the deceased.
The incident took place at 8.30 AM in the morning, when he was on his way to pick his wife from his in-laws’ residence in Yelwal. Mahesh died on the spot and the car toppled over in the mishap.
Teachers, students and parents were seen grieving over the death of the teacher employed at the institution for 10 years.
The deceased is survived by wife and a 3-year-old son.
Bilikere Police have registered a case.
