Mysuru: A student fainted in the hall while writing II PUC board examinations on Thursday morning at examination centre.
Preetham from Sadvidya Pre University College fell unconscious in the examination hall at Vijaya Vittala PU College while appearing for Biology examination.
H Satya Prasad, Principal of Vijaya Vittala College said “After writing exams from 10.15 to 12.15 that is for nearly two hours, Preetham fainted and our invigilator brought this to our notice and we gave first aid to him. Later we alerted DDPU and Saraswathipuram Police who acted swiftly to shift Preetham to Kamakshi Hospital. He lost precious one hour, but still if he is not satisfied with the marks, still he can make it out in supplementary exams which is conducted couple of weeks after the announcement of results of main exam”.
The Principal said that students often end up reading for long hours on a stretch and also late nights, without taking proper care of their and sleep. This is when such incidents happen.
“Students should keep themselves calm before and during the exam. We, in our institute do make an effort to tell this to our students and also coach them about 20 Point Success for the exam. This session enables and instills confidence among students to take up the exams in a positive way,” added Satya Prasad.
