Mysuru: The local youth along with travel agency owner thrashed six youth from Hyderabad who were on tour to Mysuru for their alleged misbehaviour.
The incident occurred in Mandi Mohalla when six youth from Hyderabad had been to Mysuru on a tour through a Bengaluru-based travel agency. After visiting places in Mysuru they were supposed to leave to Ooty on Thursday morning.They had arranged a mini bus and two Delhi-based families were also travelling in the same vehicle.
But the youth got into verbal fight with the owner and the driver of the vehicle to give them front seats. When the owner denied, they allegedly tried to assault them. Seeing these developments, the local youth along with driver and the owner caught the youth on tour and thrashed them.
Another report said that the youth also had asked to arrange separate vehicle to travel to Ooty but the travel agency owner denied and returned the money. Enraged over the issue, the youth assaulted the owner. The local youth objected to youth’s behaviour and thrashed them in public.
One of the youth who suffered injuries alleged that the bus provided for the tour was not good and also when they asked for front seats, the travel agency owner assaulted them.
But the travel agency owner clarified that the youth had misbehaved with the other families and when he questioned them for the same, the youth tried to assault them.
The Mandi police have taken the youth into custody and are questioning them.
