Teenage Deaths Prompt Investigations in Karnataka and Noida

In two separate tragic incidents, a 14-year-old schoolgirl in Karnataka and a class 7 student in Noida died by suicide, sparking investigations into the circumstances surrounding their deaths.

1. Karnataka Schoolgirl’s Suicide:

A 14-year-old girl from a government school in Bagalkot, Karnataka, reportedly died by suicide on campus after allegedly being subjected to a strip-search along with three other students. The incident occurred after a teacher reported a theft of Rs 2,000 on campus. The girls were strip-searched in front of teaching staff and the headmaster, and were later taken to a nearby temple to “prove” their innocence. The police are currently investigating the case.

2. Noida Student’s Tragic Fall:

In Noida, a class 7 student died by suicide after allegedly falling from the 22nd floor of a residential high-rise. The 14-year-old boy, who had recently taken his annual examinations, was awaiting his results. The police suspect it to be a case of suicide, with the incident occurring at the Supertech Eco Village 3 group housing society in Bisrakh. Legal proceedings are underway as investigations continue.

These unfortunate incidents have sent shockwaves through their respective communities, prompting authorities to delve into the circumstances leading to the teenagers’ deaths.
