Mangaluru: Chaired by K S Eshwarappa, Minister of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, a Progress Review Meeting was held here at the Netravathi Auditorium of District Panchayat on Wednesday, April 7.
To address the problem of water scarcity during summers Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Jal Shakti Abhiyan across India. The district commissioner and CEO of Zilla Panchayat were instructed to undertake the water conservation works in the district, and create employment opportunities under MG NAREGA Scheme.

Angara, Chairperson of District panchayat Meenakshi Shantigodu, Panchayat Raj Commissioner Priyanka Marie Francis, ZP Executive Officer Dr. Kumar, ZP Vice President Kasturi Panja, Education & Health Standing Committee Chairperson Dhanalakshmi Gatti, Chairperson of Social Justice Committee Mamata Shetty, Agriculture, and industries Standing Committee Chairperson Ravindra Kambali, Special Officer Jayaram, and Cheif engineer Ejaz Hussain were present.
