Rama-Lakshmana Jodukere Kambala gets underway with zeal

Mangaluru: K Chittaranjan, President of Sri Brahma Baidarkala Garodi, Kankanady, inaugurated the fourth edition of Rama-Lakshmana Jodukere Kambala on Saturday, March 6 at Goldfinch City, Bangra Kulur, under the leadership of Capt Brijesh Chowta.

The event will be held in six categories such as Negilu (junior) section, Hagga (junior) section, Negilu (senior) section, Hagga (junior) section, Kane Halage, and Adda Halage.

The winners of Kane Halage, Hagga, and Negilu (senior) will be awarded 2 sovereigns of gold, and runners-up will be awarded 1 sovereign of gold. Meanwhile, winners of the Adda Halage, Hagga, Negilu (junior) section will be awarded 1 sovereign of gold and runners-up will be awarded half a sovereign of gold.

The achievers were felicitated. Vinay Guruji, Kali Maharaj, Businessman Prakash Shetty, convener Capt Brijesh Chowta, and Harish Bantwal were present.

The prize distribution ceremony will be held on March 7, which will be presided by Zilla president Meenakshi Shanthigodu. Mangaluru City Corporation commissioner Akshay Shridhar, Mangaluru Urban Development Authority chairman Ravishankar Mijar and others will take part.
