Mangaluru: The Mangaluru City Crime Branch (CCB) has arrested Abdul Kabir (36), alias “Paarivala Kabir,” for allegedly peddling MDMA near KIADB Road, Moodipu Kambala Padavu. A resident of Kasaba Bengre, Kabir is a known offender with a long history of cattle theft.
Police confiscated 12.05 grams of MDMA, a digital scale, a mobile phone, and a white Maruti Swift (KA-25-MA-8950) — all worth approximately ₹4.31 lakh. Authorities say he sourced the drug from Bengaluru and Mumbai, distributing it among students and locals in Mangaluru.
Kabir has over 15 theft cases filed across multiple stations, including Panambur, Ullal, Kankanady Town, and even Madikeri Rural. He had been on the run for nearly two years after skipping court post-bail.
The CCB team executed the operation and booked him at Konaje Police Station. Investigations are ongoing to uncover his full drug supply network.
