In a gruesome incident, a 50-year-old man in East Champaran, Bihar, allegedly killed his wife and three daughters. The incident occurred in Bawariya village in East Champaran district on Thursday midnight.
According to the police, the accused, Idu Mian, allegedly killed his 40-year-old wife, Afreen Khatoon, and three minor daughters, and he is currently on the run.
The heart-wrenching incident took place just a few months after he was released on bail from jail. When the police visited Afreen’s house, based on information provided by the neighbors, all four were found dead.
Police stated that the victims were discovered with their throats slit by a sharp-edged weapon, likely a knife. The reason for the gruesome murder is not yet known, but it is said that the couple, married for 17 years, had a strained relationship and used to quarrel bitterly. The accused used to blame and scold his wife for not giving birth to a son.
Kantesh Kumar Mishra, the Superintendent of Police in East Champaran district, stated that initial investigations into the murders revealed that Idu Mian was arrested in Uttar Pradesh two years ago for allegedly throwing his daughter from a moving train in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh.
