In the nearby Greater Noida area of Delhi, a family’s bike was struck by a speeding car, resulting in the deaths of three members of the family. There was another woman on the bike who was seriously hurt.
The incident happened after midnight close to Greater Noida’s busy Pari Chowk crossing. After going to a wedding with his sisters, Surendra was making his way back home. The bike that the man and his sisters, Shaili and their friend Anshu, were riding on went out of control when it struck a speed breaker close to Pari Chowk.
Meanwhile, a speeding car hit the motorcycle and sped away around 2 am. The man and his sisters were declared dead in the hospital and the third pillion suffered serious injuries. The police said they were returning from Kasna which is approximately 17 km from their residence, Kulesara in Noida.
The police said that after hitting the motorcycle, the speeding car ran over the injured people. When the police arrived, the bodies were visible from the accident scene lying in the middle of the road.
The car that struck the bike has not yet been identified by the police, but surveillance camera footage is being searched for it. So far, there have been no arrests made.
