Man Arrested for Stabbing 20-Year-Old Live-In Partner After Rejection

Following their recent Instagram friendship, the accused and the victim agreed to share a rented apartment in the city. Two days later, on December 9, law enforcement found the woman's body in their rented home in the Raoji Bazaar neighborhood, where the incident had taken place on December 7.

Indore: In a shocking incident in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, a man was apprehended for allegedly stabbing his 20-year-old live-in partner when she refused to engage in physical intimacy with him.

Background of the Incident

The victim and the accused had recently become acquainted on Instagram and decided to share a rented residence in the city. The incident occurred in their rented home in the Raoji Bazaar neighborhood on December 7, but the woman’s body was discovered by law enforcement two days later, on December 9.

Identification of the Accused

The accused, identified as Praveen Singh, 24, hails from the Guna district of Madhya Pradesh.

Motivation Behind the Attack

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police Abhinay Vishwakarma, the accused became enraged when the woman rejected his advances. The refusal led him to attack her with a pair of scissors, resulting in a fatal stab wound to her neck.

Escape and Apprehension

After stabbing the woman and taking away her cellphone, the accused fled the scene, locking the house from the outside. Law enforcement, however, managed to locate and apprehend Praveen Singh once the murder came to light.
